Below you will find a list of the services we currently have on offer. Each service we offer will be bespoke to your individual needs. We only ever take on a small number of families at one time to ensure we are able to provide you with the most effective service which always has availability to meet your needs.

Information and Advice

If you would like to speak with one of our SEN advisers, you can book an appointment to have a telephone or video call consultation to talk through your SEN journey. You will have the opportunity to share as much or as little as you wish. You can ask any questions you may have and explore the options available to you with your adviser.

 

Here at the SEN support hub, we will ensure you are listened to and heard and will aim to provide you with the correct information to help you move forward within your journey.

Following the consultation, we will email you confirming any agreed actions followed by any information we have provided you with or signposted you to. 

Applying for an EHC Needs Assessment

An Education and Health Care Needs Assessment (EHC NA) is the first step in obtaining an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) for your child. An EHCP is a legal document which describes a child or young person’s educational needs, the support they need, and the outcomes they would like to achieve.

 

We can support you in producing a compelling and comprehensive EHC Needs Assessment request for you to submit to your local authority. This will include support with collating reports, reviewing evidence and recording your child's history and journey so far.

The timeline for obtaining an EHCP is 20 weeks are we are able to support you with as much or as little as you need along this journey. We are here to try and eliminate any stress you are feeling and can help to chase professionals, support you with getting your views, wishes and feelings across and attend any meetings you are required to be at to help you to understand the information. 

Applying for Disability Living Allowance

Completing the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) form can seem a difficult thing to do as a parent. With the right support, you can be confident that you are submitting the strongest application for your child's case. We are also here to relieve some of the stress and anxiety you may be feeling around completing the form, whilst ensuring the form is completed in good time.

We can support right from the beginning. We are here to help with as much or as little as you need with this form. This included going through all your child's information and reports with you and helping you to think about how their challenges impact on their daily activities.

School Meeting Support Package

If you are due to meet with you child's school and would like support from us, then we offer a package to support you before, during and after the process. Our package offers up to 5 hours of support to help you get your views and wishes across and to support you in achieving the best outcomes. The package includes:

  • A virtual meeting to discuss your current situation beforehand and a discussion about realistic outcomes to achieve in the meeting. 

​

  • Attendance at the school meeting for up to 2 hours to help you to share your views and wishes and also asking any questions on your behalf. 

​

  • A write up of the notes taken and actions agreed after the meeting which will be shared with you and any of the professionals present if you wish to consent. 

​

  • A virtual meeting of up to 1 hour within a week of the school meeting to debrief and discuss your thoughts and feelings and an opportunity to discuss any further steps or advice to be taken. 

Supportive Workshops

As parents, we want you to be equipped with all the important information you need to make choices on behalf of your child. In order to be able to do that effectively, you need to have a good understanding of your rights and choices. This is why we have put together a range of different interactive workshops to deepen your knowledge and provide you with practical advice and skills to help you on your journey. 

Annual Review Support Package

When a child or young person has an Education, Health and Care plan (EHC plan) there is an ongoing requirement for the EHC plan to be reviewed by the local authority at least annually. This is referred to as the Annual Review. The Annual Review is more than just a review meeting, it is a process that must be completed on or before the anniversary of when the EHC plan was first issued or the anniversary of the last review.

We have put together a package which we can adapt to be tailored to your specific needs. This package will help you to think about the year that has just been, what has worked and not worked and to think about new outcomes for the year ahead. We can work together to plan for the annual review meeting and if required, we can also attend with you. Our support goes right through the process and we can even help you read through and understand the final draft on your child's new EHCP for the year to ensure you are confident and happy with the support within there.
